Welcome to Nourished Bread & Bakery
​My name is Alexandria, I live in Arlington, TX with my husband and two pups! My passion for nourishing my family with healthy and minimally processed food has ignited my desire to provide my community with fresh, organic, and high quality sourdough bread. After years of research on our food systems, I knew I had to start making food from scratch as often as possible, to avoid unnecessary chemicals, ingredients, and additives that are found in almost every item at the grocery store. When my family stopped eating seed-oils, we had a difficult time buying bread and baked goods that did not contain canola oil! The only solution was to start making my own homemade bread- this is when I found the beautiful world of sourdough. God introduced me to the healing power of food in its natural, God-created state, and I was immediately led to learn more about fermentation and the incredible digestion benefits it provides. Not only was the sourdough bread I was baking taste insanely delicious- I had 100% confidence that it was actually good for me. I was in control of the ingredients (goodbye canola oil & conventional pesticide sprayed flour!) and learned how to properly prepare and ferment grains so they are easier to digest. The passion for baking delicious, fresh homemade bread for my family grew stronger and I knew I wanted to provide nutritious bread to my community too! With that- Nourished Bread and Bakery was born! All glory to God for blessing me with the desire to dig deep into America's failing food systems, and the knowledge of homemaking to provide my family with deeply nourishing food!
